How to Send Mail or Package
Personal mail to inmates should be sent via the US Postal Service and addressed to:

Funds may be added to inmates’ commissary accounts in several ways. Cash, debit or credit cards may be used to deposit funds via the kiosk in the jail lobby, which is available at all times. Money may be added online (or commissary items ordered) via Commissary Deposit’s website. Money orders made out to the Boone County Sheriff’s Department with the inmates name clearly on the order can be mailed.
Visitation Hours
Visitation is Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Only immediate family may visit and photo ID is required. Visits from others must be approved in advance by the Sheriff or Jail Administrator.
Additional Jail Information
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office hosts webpages of current warrants and most wanted offenders. Information available includes each offender’s warrant and bond details, aliases, charges, identifying information, last known address, and mugshot.

Requests should be made in writing and describe the records desired in detail. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office provides a FOIA request form, linked below. This can be submitted in person or by mail or email.The Clerk has three business days to determine if the record is available and if there are any fees. If there is a fee, the Clerk notifies the requestor by phone or email. If not, the Clerk emails the record, if there is an email address provided. Submit requests to:
