How to Send Mail or Package
Mail management is provided by HomeWAV / TextBehind. Personal mail to inmates is scanned and delivered electronically. Inmates view scanned mail on HomeWAV kiosks. Mail should include the sender’s full name and return address, as well as the detainee’s full name and booking number. Booking numbers can be found on the jail roster hosted online. Mail should be addressed as follows:

All reading materials must be mailed directly from the publisher and will be searched for contraband.
Funds may be added to inmate’s commissary accounts in three ways. There is a kiosk in the detention center lobby that accepts cash and debit or credit cards. Deposits may be made online at TigerDepoist.com. Money orders may be mailed to the address provided above.
There are three ways to put money on a loved one’s commissary account.
Visitation Hours
Video visitation at the county jail is operated by HomeWAV. Visits are available daily from 8:00 am until 10:00 am and 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Visits can be onsite, using the kiosks in the detention center lobby, or via any internet-enabled device with a camera. All visits must be scheduled through the HomeWAV website, which requires creating an account. Questions regarding this process must be directed to HOMEWAV at 1-844-394-6639. Visits are $.50 per minute.
Jefferson County Sheriff Information
The county jail is operated by the local Sheriff’s Office. Lafayette Woods, Jr. is the current and John Hughes is the Undersheriff. The administrative division includes the Chief Deputy, Major, Office Manager, Jail Administrator, and six Administrative Clerks. Michael Christopher Brown is the Office Manager.

Jefferson County covers an area of 914 square miles in the Arkansas Delta. The county includes five cities, two towns, and 20 townships and is bisected by the Arkansas River. In 2020, the population was 67,260. The county seat and largest city is Pine Bluff.
Jefferson County Public Records Information
Sheriff’s Office records are public information under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and copies are available for a nominal fee. Requests should be written, describe the records sought, and provide the full name and contact information of the person requesting the records. The Sheriff’s Office provides a FOIA request form for this purpose. Requests may be submitted in person or by mail, email, or fax.
