How to Send Mail or Package
Personal mail to inmates should be addressed as follows:

Funds may be deposited into inmates’ commissary accounts at the Sheriff’s office. The office accepts cash, cashiers checks, or approved money orders. Funds may also be deposited online at the Tiger Commissary website.Select the Sharp County Detention Center and then select an inmate to fund their account or order a commissary package to be sent to them directly.
Visitation Hours
Inmate visitation is held from the Sheriff’s lobby Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm (holidays excluded). All inmates receive 1 free visit from the lobby kiosk per week. Additional remote video visits may be scheduled and purchased at the CityTeleCoin website. These visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance and may occur Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
Additional Jail Information
The official Sharp County Sheriff’s Office website hosts a roster of Most Wanted offenders in the county. These profiles provide the names, identifying details, birthdates, last known addresses, and mugshots and/or photographs of offenders, as available, and what they are being charged with. They also keep an ongoing archive of press releases that contain information related to the Sheriff’s department and the county jail.
Sharp County Sheriff Information
The Sharp County Sheriff’s Department operates and maintains the county jail. The current Sheriff is Shane Russell and the Chief Deputy is Kevin “Bart” Simpson. Deputies on staff include Austin Carpenter, Logan Powell, Tye Baxter, Marc Boyd, Hunter Taylor, Bobby Glenn, Lane King, Mike Zeiger, and Kelly Newcom. Administrative office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Sharp County Public Records Information
Sheriff’s Office records are public information under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act. Copies of such records are available for a nominal printing fee. FOIA requests should describe the records requested in as much detail as possible (i.e. names, dates, locations, etc) and provide the full name and contact information of the person making the request. They may be submitted to the Sheriff’s Office in person or by mail, email, or fax. If the record was created by a city officer, the request should be submitted to their department. If taken by a State Trooper, it should be submitted to Troop Headquarters, which can be reached at (870) 523-2701. Printing fees may need to be paid prior to delivery of the records.
