How to Send Mail or Package
All personal mail to inmates is scanned and provided electronically. Mail should be addressed to:

All personal mail to inmates must include a complete return address and the sender’s first and last name.
Funds may be added to detainees’ accounts in the jail lobby, where cash and major credit cards are accepted, and online at the JailATM website, which accepts all major credit cards. For more information about the commissary, call (479) 444-5873, Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Visitation Hours
Inmate visitation is operated by JailATM. Visits must be scheduled at least 2 and no more than 9 days in advance. In person visits from the kiosk in the detention center lobby are free. Remote visits held from any internet-enabled device with a camera (i.e. smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc) may be purchased and scheduled online at the JailATM website.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office operates and maintains the county jail. Jay Cantrell is the current Sheriff and Greg Tabor is the Chief Deputy. The patrol division is overseen by Enforcement Major Josh McConnell and Enforcement Captain Tion Augustine.

Washington County Public Records Information
Sheriff’s Office records are public information and copies are available for a small printing fee, in accordance with the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). FOIA requests should describe the records sought in as much detail as possible (i.e. names, dates, locations, type of record, etc) and provide the full name and contact information of the person making the request. These requests may be submitted in person or by mail, email, or fax. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office hosts a records request portal online, linked below, which is the preferred delivery method for FOIA requests.
