Visitation Hours
Visitation is held Sunday from 8am to 4pm. Visits must be scheduled by 5pm the previous Wednesday by calling 870-368-4203. Each inmate is allowed one 15 minute visit with up to four visitors. Each visitor must have a valid photo ID.

The Izard County Sheriff’s Office hosts a most wanted roster on its website, which provides the names, identifying details, charges, and mugshots of wanted offenders. It also publishes a weekly incarceration report with the names, ages, locations, warrants, and arrest dates of those incarcerated in the past week.

The county jail is operated and maintained by the Izard County Sheriff’s Office. The current Sheriff is Charley Melton and the Chief Deputy is Steve Davidson. An additional station was established in Horseshoe Bend in 2013. The Horseshoe Bend deputies are frequently assisted by Sheriff’s Department staff, including Sheriff Charley Melton, Chief Deputy Steve Davidson, Chief Investigator Geoffrey Watts, Investigators Sean Tomlinson & Tyler Webb and others. Inmate trustees perform maintenance and sanitation duties at both stations.Administrative hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
