Stone County Jail Information and Inmate Search

The Stone County jail is located in Mountain View, Arkansas. The current facility was built in 1994 and subsequently expanded. It has the capacity to hold 40 inmates separated into four housing units, including one unit for female inmates. The current Detention Center Administrator is Kyle Dodson. The staff includes ten full-time Detention Officers and several part-time Officers.

The current inmate roster is available online. It is divided into three sections: current inmates, new inmates, and recent releases. Profiles provide inmates’ full names, identifying details, arrest and court dates, charges, and mugshots.

How to Send Mail or Package

Funds may be added to inmates’ commissary accounts online at the Tiger Commissary website. Commissary packages may also be ordered on behalf of inmates.

Visitation Hours

Inmate visitation is operated by the CitiTeleCoin (CTC) video visitation system. Visits may be held remotely or via kiosks in the jail lobby.

Remote visitation requires an account with CitiTeleCoin, which may be set up online. Remote visitation may be held daily from 8am to 8pm.

In person visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance by calling (870) 269-3825. All visitors must have a photo ID. Scheduling is arranged by gender and housing unit.

Female visitation hours are Saturday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Male visitation is on Sunday.
POD 32 Class 2 inmates have visitation from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. POD 33 Class 1 inmates have visitation from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. POD 32 Class 3 inmates have visitation from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

Stone County Sheriff Information

The Stone County Sheriff’s Office operates and maintains the county jail. The current Sheriff is Brandon Long and the Chief Deputy is Phil Burnham. The Chief Deputy oversees day-to-day functions of the department and supervises all deputies and criminal investigators. Administrative Office Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm

Stone County is in north-central Arkansas, located in the Ozark Mountains. It covers an area of 609.43 miles. In 2020, the population was 12,359. The county has two incorporated cities: Mountain View, the county seat and most populous city, and Fifty-Six.

FOIA requests should describe the records sought in as much detail as available (i.e. names, dates, locations, type of information sought, etc) and provide the requestor’s full name and contact information. They may be delivered to the Sheriff’s Office in person or by mail, email, or fax.
