How to Send Mail or Package
Personal mail to inmates should be limited to postcards addressed as follows:

A complete return address must also be used, including the sender’s full name.
Packages aren’t accepted without prior approval, but softback books may be purchased and mailed directly from a publisher or bookstore. Magazine subscriptions aren’t allowed.
There are several ways to add money to a detainee’s account. Money orders containing the detainee’s name may be brought to the information desk of the Sheriff’s Office during business hours or mailed to the following address:

Tiger Commissary operates the commissary service at the county jail. Funds may be added via the Tiger Kiosk machine in the lobby, which is accessible 24 hours a day. There is a two dollar transaction fee for using the kiosk. Money may also be added using Tiger Deposit’s website. The commissary may be reached by calling 870-774-3001 on Monday through Thursday from 9:00am – 5:00pm. Commissary items are ordered on Wednesdays and delivered Fridays.
Visitation Hours
Smart Communications Video Visitation operates inmate visits at the Miller County jail. To visit an inmate remotely, an account is required (set-up requires an email address, postal address, and debit or credit card) and visits may be conducted on any internet-enabled device with a camera. The Sheriff’s Office Facebook page posts weekly summary of the department’s activities. This includes arrests made that week, descriptions of the situation in which the offender was arrested, and their mugshots.
Miller County Sheriff Information
The county jail is operated by the local Sheriff’s office. The current Sheriff is Wayne Easley and the Chief Deputy is Paul Nall. The office also employs one patrolman, Nick Ontiveros, a Criminal Investigation Division commander, three investigators, and one property/evidence deputy, a communications manager, office manager, and administrative assistant.

Miller County is in the southwestern corner of Arkansas. It is located 143 miles southwest of Little Rock, 73 miles north of Shreveport, Louisiana, and 204 miles east of Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. The county covers 637.48 square miles and the population was 42,600 at the 2020 census. The largest city and county seat is Texarkana.

Records kept by the Sheriff’s Office, such as police reports, are public information and copies may be obtained for a nominal fee in keeping with the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). FOIA requests should describe the records in as much detail as possible and provide the full name and contact information of the person making the request.
